These Terms govern your purchase and use of LawByLak revision modules ("Modules") sold via lawbylak.co.uk and the Payhip checkout. By purchasing, you agree to these Terms.
LawByLak is operated by Lakshan Satheeskumar, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, producing A-Level Law revision content for OCR H418, OCR H018, and AQA 7162 specifications. Contact: hello@lawbylak.co.uk.
Each Module is a self-contained digital revision resource delivered as an interactive HTML file plus a branded PDF summary. Modules cover individual A-Level Law topics (e.g. Topic 1 General Elements, Topic 9 ABH s.47 OAPA 1861) priced at £6.99 each at the time of writing. Each Module contains specification-aligned content, case law, practice questions, and worked examples.
Modules are delivered as a digital download link immediately after Payhip confirms payment, and the same link is also sent to the email address you provide at checkout. If you do not receive the download link within 10 minutes, check your spam folder, then email hello@lawbylak.co.uk.
When you buy a Module, you get a lifetime, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use that Module for your own revision and study purposes.

Breach of these licence terms is a serious matter. We monitor for unauthorised redistribution and reserve the right to revoke access, claim damages, and pursue copyright enforcement.
All Module content (text, structure, examples, diagrams, branding, the LawByLak name and logo) remains the intellectual property of Lakshan Satheeskumar. The licence in clause 5 grants you use rights, not ownership.
Citations of actual case law (e.g. R v Miller, R v Chan-Fook) refer to public legal authorities and are not our IP. Our analysis, structuring, worked answers, and explanations of those cases are our IP.
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase, with one important caveat: this right is waived if you have begun to download or use the digital content within that period (which most customers do immediately).
We go beyond the statutory minimum. See our Refund Policy for full details. In summary: if a Module isn't right for you, email us within 14 days for a no-questions-asked refund, even if you've downloaded it.
If we materially update a Module you've purchased (e.g. content updated to reflect a new examiners' report, additional case law added), we will send you the updated version free of charge to the email you used at checkout. This applies for as long as we sell the Module.

LawByLak modules are revision aids, not a substitute for personalised legal education or qualified legal advice. While we work to ensure accuracy and alignment with specifications and examiner reports, we cannot guarantee any particular exam outcome — your grade depends on your own effort, application, and the marker.
The legal content (case law, statutes) reflects the law of England and Wales at the time of writing. The law evolves; we update content where we can but recommend students cross-reference with current OCR/AQA specifications and recent case law for exam currency.
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, LawByLak's liability arising from your purchase of a Module is limited to the amount you paid for that Module (typically £6.99). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Modules if you materially breach these Terms (in particular clause 5 on licence terms). In such cases, refunds are at our discretion.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Questions about these Terms? Email hello@lawbylak.co.uk. We answer within 24 hours, usually faster.
We may update these Terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be notified to email subscribers; minor wording fixes will not. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
